Different by Design #2 – Health and Wellbeing

Health and wellbeing are at the forefront of the agenda at Kirkstall Forge, and the most recent Different by Design event at Number One was dedicated to this important subject.

A line-up of industry experts spoke to guests about the value of a healthy, happy workforce, not just for the the individual but for business as a whole.
Speakers at the event included Mark Casci, Business Editor of the Yorkshire Post, Nick Lee from CEG and Ashley Bateson from Hoare Lea, who worked on the mechanical and electrical engineering design of the multi award-winning Number One, Kirkstall Forge.

Dr Jon Finn, from Tougher Minds talked about how he’s taking his experience in professional sport into workplaces, while Michelle Wilkins from Zenith discussed the positive effect the company’s new home at Kirkstall Forge has had on staff.

The final speaker was Karen Broadbent, from Bupa – who were recently announced as the latest tenants at Number One. Karen spoke about the factors which made Kirkstall Forge the outstanding choice for a new base for a company such as Bupa, which values health and wellbeing so highly.

The event, which was hosted by Butlers, the on-site restaurant at Kirkstall Forge, offered plenty of time for guests to network with each other over a drink and a bite to eat.
